この度、東京の青山にありますインテリア家具専門ショップのREAL Style 青山店 様にて「吉川 薫平 個展」を開催いたします。

伝統的な日本画の画材である岩絵具をベースとしながら、さまざまな素材を混ぜ合わせることで独特の質感、鮮やかな色彩や光沢を生み出す吉川薫平氏。
従来の日本画表現にとどまらない、現代の感性から捉えた新たな表現を常に追求しております。

自分が心から帰れる場所を探し、そこで感じた自然現象、温度を画面に定着させることを制作の原点とする彼は、実際にさまざまな場所へ旅に出かけ、現在の等身大の自分の眼で自然に触れます。

今回のメインモチーフである花々の作品にも、花が持つ美しさ以上の、それが持つ温度やエネルギー、質感までをも感じ取れるかもしれません。

自分の作品が「誰かの帰る場所であってほしい」と願う吉川氏の想いが、インテリアショップという最適の展示空間を訪れる方々の「帰る場所」のご提案につながれば幸いです。

We are pleased to announce that the “Kunpei YOSHIKAWA Solo Exhibition” will be held at REAL Style Aoyama, an interior furniture specialty shop located in Aoyama, Tokyo.

While basing his work on iwa-enogu, the traditional mineral pigments used in Japanese painting, Yoshikawa creates unique textures, vivid colors, and luster by blending various materials.
He continually pursues new forms of expression shaped by contemporary sensibilities, going beyond the conventional boundaries of Japanese painting.

Seeking a place where he can truly feel at home, Yoshikawa travels to various locations, encountering nature with his own eyes in the present moment.
The natural phenomena and sensations―its temperatures and atmospheres―experienced in these places form the foundation of his creative process.
In the works featuring flowers, the main motif of his exhibition, viewers may sense not only the beauty of the blossoms but also the warmth, energy, and textures they embody.

Yoshikawa hopes that his works will become “a place to return to” for someone.
