伝統的な書道精神を重んじながらも、現代的で革新的な書道アート作品を制作する現代書道家でアーティストの永山玳潤氏。

「JRA 有馬記念」の題字を担当されたことでも知られ、近年では、ドバイや台湾での個展開催、重要無形文化財（能楽）保持者の津村禮次郎氏とのコラボ能楽公演の実施、スイスの高級時計ブランド「オーデマ ピゲ」150周年記念式典でのライブ書道パフォーマンス実施、TBS系番組『ラヴィット！』の名物企画「書き順バトル」で解説員を務めるなど、多方面に活躍の場を広げております。

この度、大丸心斎橋店８階 朝日堂心斎橋店の店内にて、「［特集展示］現代書道家 永山玳潤 」を開催いたします。

本特集展示では、本格派書道作品から、漢字を崩し生き物そのものに見立てた「擬態文字」シリーズ、色彩鮮やかな作品までを幅広くご紹介いたします。

会期終了後の10月31日（日）には、本特集の締めくくりに、大丸心斎橋店300周年を記念した「ライブ書道パフォーマンス」を実施いたします。

Featured Exhibition of Works by Japanese Calligrapher and Artist, Tyjun Nagayama

Tyjun Nagayama is a contemporary Japanese calligrapher and artist who creates innovative calligraphic works that honor the spirit of traditional Japanese calligraphy while exploring a distinctly contemporary form of artistic expression.

He is widely known for creating the title calligraphy for the prestigious JRA Arima Kinen, one of Japan’s most celebrated horse races. In recent years, his artistic activities have expanded internationally and across a diverse range of fields, including solo exhibitions in Dubai and Taiwan, a collaborative Noh performance with Reijiro Tsumura, a Holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property (Noh Theatre), and a live calligraphy performance at the 150th anniversary celebration of Audemars Piguet, the renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker.

He has also appeared on TBS’s popular television program LOVE it! as a commentator for its signature “Calligraphy Stroke Order Battle” segment, further demonstrating the breadth of his activities as a calligrapher and artist.

We are pleased to announce the Featured Exhibition: Contemporary Calligrapher Tyjun Nagayama, to be held at Asahido Shinsaibashi, located on the 8th floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi.

The exhibition presents a diverse selection of Nagayama’s works, ranging from masterful traditional calligraphic pieces to his distinctive “Mitate-Moji” (Mimetic Characters) series, in which transformed kanji characters are reimagined to evoke living creatures, as well as vibrant works that explore the expressive possibilities of color.

Following the exhibition, on October 31, a special Live Calligraphy Performance commemorating the 300th anniversary of Daimaru Shinsaibashi will be held as the finale of the featured exhibition.
