この度、パレスホテル東京 B1階に構える ASAHIDO GALLERYにて、ガラス造形作家 June Yoda（依田 淳子）氏の個展「June Yoda / 依田 淳子 ガラス作品展」を開催いたします。

ガラス板の表面に、金や銀、チタンなどのさまざまな種類の金属を真空蒸着させて作られるダイクロガラス（ダイクロイックガラス）を長年研究し、自在に操る June Yoda 氏。
ダイクロガラスは一般的なガラスとの融点の違いから、二つを組み合わせて使用することが難しいとされております。
June Yoda 氏は、二つの異なるガラスをパッチワークのように張り合わせて溶かすことで、独創的で芸術性豊かな作品を作り出します。

本展では、光の当たる角度や、眺める角度に応じて幻想的に表情を変えるダイクロガラスの特性を活かした酒器や花器、オブジェなどを一堂に展覧いたします。
日常的にご使用いただける作品も多数ご用意しております。

3月の京都での個展、8月の台湾文博会での展示にて国内外の多くの来場者を魅了した June Yoda 氏の作品がパレスホテル東京でご覧いただけます。

We are pleased to present “June Yoda Glass art works exhibition” by glass artist June Yoda, at ASAHIDO GALLERY, located on the first basement floor of the Palace Hotel Tokyo.

After years of research, June Yoda has mastered the art of dichroic glass, a material created by vacuum-depositing various metals, including gold, silver and titanium, onto the surface of glass plates.
Due to its different melting points from standard glass, combining the two is considered difficult.
By blending and fusing two different types of glass together like a patchwork, June Yoda creates unique and artistic works.

This exhibition will feature sake vessels, flower vases, and objets d’art, showcasing dichroic glass’s unique properties, which change magically depending on the angle of light and viewing.
Many pieces suitable for everyday use will also be on display.

June Yoda’s works, which captivated many visitors from Japan and abroad at his solo exhibition in Kyoto in March and Taiwan in August, will be on display at the Palace Hotel Tokyo.
